ORTHODOX boxer John Vincent “Mulawin” Moralde of Davao City will face dangerous Jose Enrique Durantes “El Ejecutor” Vivas of Mexico on Oct. 17 at The Bubble in MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Moralde, who is based in Miami, last scored a technical knockout out over Matias Agustin Arriagada of Argentina in Round 1 of the Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo last Dec. 21.

He also knocked out Jovany Rota of Butuan in the 1st round last Sept. 5 in Polomolok before leaving back to the US.

The 26-year-old Moralde, who has 23 wins with 13 knockouts against three defeats, will be fighting for the first time in The Bubble.

Syempre excited kay undercard ko nila Lomachenko-Lopez fight“, (Off course [I am excited because it’s the undercard of Lomachenko-Lopez fight), said Moralde.

WBO and WBA Super world lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko will fight IBF World lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez in the main event.

Moralde said he finds it better fighting in The Bubble for the first time.

Mas maayo nuon kay walay crowd (It’s better because there is no crowd),” said Morade.

He will be accompanied by his assistant Coach Franco Chacano, since head coach Osmiri Fernandez will stay in Miami because of a promotion also. “Naa pud na fight dire sa Miami, promotion pud namo dire (There is also a promotion in Miami),” said Moralde.

He had plenty of sparring sessions already with different boxers including featherweight Miguel “The Scorpion” Marriaga of Colombia and super featherweight Mark “Machete” Bernaldez of Gen. Santos City.

Vivas (19W-1L-0D, 10KO), on the other hand, last beat former undefeated Carlos Jackson of US by a unanimous decision last July 2 at The Bubble. Lito delos Reyes
