P150-K worth of drugs seized, 2 suspects nabbed in buy-bust

Two alleged drug pushers yielded about P150,000 worth of shabu during an anti-illegal drug operation on Sunday, Nov. 3.

in coordination with PDEA XI, were able to seize P150,000 worth of suspected shabu from two drug suspects during an anti-illegal drug operation conducted on Sunday, November 3.

Maj. Michael Uyanguren, Sta. Ana Police Station commander, identified the suspects as Jerry Musa, 35, married, unemployed, and a resident of Alim Street, Barangay Alim, Kidapawan City; and Emraida Musa, 34, female, unemployed, also a resident of Alim Street.

Based on the report of Sta. Ana police, the suspects were nabbed at around 4:10 pm in Room # 225, Alta Inn, J.P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City. The operation was launched by the Sta. Ana police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Meanwhile, Brig. Gen. Filmore B. Escobal, regional police director, lauded the successful operation of Sta. Ana police Station.

“Your diligence and commitment to duty successfully contributed to our drug war. Rest assured that we will continue to engage and collaborate with other law enforcement agencies for the protection of the people and communities, as well as disable all factors that hinder peace, security, and development in our region,” Escobal said.

The suspects, who are both under Directorate for Intelligence watchlist, are now detained in the Sta. Ana police station. They will face a charge in violation of sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
