“Daghan salamat sa pagkuyog kanako (Thank you so much for joining me) in Byaheng Do30, the city experienced triumphs and hard times and we did it all because of your hard work,” she added.

In a press conference following the ceremony, the outgoing mayor advised her brother, mayor-elect Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, that he should always think about the general welfare clause of the local government code.
“This will not be my last day but next Monday there will be a department head meeting in City Hall,” she said.
On Saturday, she will visit Manila and Cebu then back to Davao again. By June 29, she will be going again to Manila to meet with officials of Japan and China who will attend the inauguration of President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos.
