KAPA ‘victims’ not complaining

A week after President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the closure of several alleged investment scam companies, police still have no complainants.

Major Jason Baria, the spokesperson of Police Regional Office XI, said they received reports that some “investors” failed to receive their supposed pay outs when the firms were still active and that some coordinator and agents ran away their money.

However, none of them come out and file formal complaint.

“As of now… kung mag base tayo kung meron na proper complaint ay wala pa po (we still have no complainant),” Baria said in a text message.

Meanwhile, PRO Regional Director Brig. Gen. Marcelo Morales vowed that police personnel engaged in the investment scam – either as financier or just an investor – will be facing “the full force of the law.”

“Do not attempt to challenge my authority,” said Morales as he warned his subdordinates not to enter in any illegal investment scheme.

“We will not allow that unprofessionalism among our ranks and greed for money will taint what we have always strived for: to be a better police force, if not the best. Let us not forget our mission and vision of that we will continue to serve the community loyally,” he added.
