Drug suspect killed after reportedly firing at cops 

AN ALLEGED drug suspect was killed in a reported shootout by elements of the San Pedro police during a buy-bust operation at Barangay 3-A, at 3:05 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 7.

Major Marvin Hugos, San Pedro Police Station chief, identified the slain suspect as Tito Pasian Aniscal, 35, a transient resident of Lower Madapo, Barangay 5-A.

According to the report, Aniscal sold a sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P1,000. However, when he was about to be arrested, he pulled his .38 revolver and fired toward the arresting officer.

The suspect was rushed to Southern Philippines Medical Center for medical intervention but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician at about 3:30 a.m.

The Davao City Forensic Unit recovered the .38 revolver used by the suspect, loaded with five bullets, the cartridge from the .9mm pistol, a deformed fired bullet, green and red handbag, and a red sling bag.

Police also seized 13 sachets containing dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops weighing more or less 30.4 grams, with an estimated street market value of P5,168, along with a sachet of shabu weighing more or less 1.1 gram with an estimated street market value of P2,000.
