City to craft ‘Dabawenyo DCplinado’ GMRC module

A LAWMAKER bared plans to produce a module on good manners and right conduct (GMRC) to center on Dabawenyo DCplinado branding.

Dabawenyo DCiplinado is a campaign that recognizes the discipline of Davaoeños as a contributor to the city’s success.

“When we talk about future generations, we empower them through the programs for the future, I believe this should start with the youth sector,” Councilor Jonard Dayap said during the Arubado sa Konseho on April 23.

Dayap, the committee on future generations chair, shared that the proposed ordinance to produce learning materials came from the initiative of Mayor Sebastian Duterte.

The councilor added they partnered with the Sanguniang Kabataan Federation, peace and order committee, and the Department of Education to roll out the modules in public and private schools.

Dalhon ni sa mga schools, itudlo sa atong mga estudyante, kay we believe the future is in the hands of the youth,” he added.

The councilor shared the committee is currently finalizing the concept of the module in time for introducing the proposed ordinance on first reading in the May 7 regular session.

The Dabawenyo DCiplinado campaign was highlighted during the Araw ng Dabaw opening on March 1.

In his speech, Mayor Duterte said the discipline of Davaoeños amid the diversity of beliefs is what holds the city together.
