DLPC: Emergency switching interruptions on April 29 and 30

THE DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct emergency switching power interruptions on April 29 and 30, Saturday and Sunday, affecting customers in the southern part of Davao City.

These switching power interruptions are necessary to conduct maintenance works in Dumoy Substation, deload Puan Substation, and relocate the poles along Davao-Bukidnon near Sea Oil Peq.

The first power interruption will be for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on April 29, Saturday to transfer loads to nearby substations.

Specifically affected are customers from Davao Light Bangkal Substation to Ulas Pulis Station 3; including a portion of Ulas Proper, Talomo Bridge area, ULHA Village, UUHSA Village, Coca-Cola Bangkal, and neighboring areas.

The second power interruption will be for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on April 30, Sunday to conduct isolation of affected lines, while the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes, anytime between 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the same date.

Specifically affected are customers in Davao Light Puan Substation to Ulas Pulis Station 3; including a portion of Talomo, Jollibee Puan, Plantacion Solariega, Talomo Central Elementary School, Talomo National High School, Talomo Proper Barangay Hall, Samulco Puan Branch, and neighboring areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these emergency power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is paramount to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to be careful when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
