Chef Alex Destriza and China-trained Chef Neil Indonilla, along with Marco Polo Davao’s Curva Girls namely Marketing and Sales Director Pearl Peralta-Maclang, Communications Officer Jeline Gison and Marketing Manager Sarah Dayrit, introduced Marco Polo Davao’s signature dishes for Cafe Marco, Polo Bistro and the Lotus Court, the culinary influences of these countries are truly heartfelt. All the while, I thought Filipino cuisine is going to be the next big thing as it was described by the award-winning food writer Andrew Zimmern, the host of Travel Channel’s “Bizarre Foods,” as “the best of Asian food and one of three next-wave cuisines.”
