Biz, office registration for DQR to resume Wednesday: Sara

THE CITY government is set to start registering business establishments again on Wednesday for the Safe Davao Quick Response Code (DQR), but there is no schedule yet for individual registration, said Mayor Sara Z. Duterte.

“Gibulag sa nato ang link sa individuals ug establishments registration. Una nato ipa-up ang sa establishments on Wednesday and we will announce the date kung I-up na nato ang sa individual registration,” Duterte said over the city government-operated Davao City Disaster Radio.

She explained that the decision to separate the registration of both the establishments and individual was reached when the service provider brought down the website after getting overwhelmed by the number of registrants.

The mayor said the city government will eventually announce the date when individual registration will resume even as the city government targets November 23 as the start of the mandatory registration of the system.

The implementation of the DQR is part of the move of the city government to regulate movement of people, residents or otherwise, in its efforts to eliminate the threat of Covid-19 pandemic. Other components of the action is the implementation of curfew between 7 pm and 5 am and the 24-hour liquor ban.

The city government and the health experts recommended the steps after noting the increasing number of coronavirus cases after the city was placed under under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) on August 16
