9th Halal Trade and Tourism Expo at the SMX Convention Center

THE 9TH Philippine Halal Trade and Tourism Expo opened at the SMX Convention Center on May 23 with Universal Islamic Center president and founder Marilou Ampuan banging the gong, along with international delegates from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei Darussalam. 

The event had the theme, “Global Halal Market: Tourism, Trade, and Investment Opportunities.” Aside from the exhibit of various halal products, the expo also features plenary sessions, business-to-business meetings, and business-to-customer interactions. networking. 

Delegates gathered inside the venue to witness diverse performances of cultural dance.

For the expo component, 11 ethnolinguistic tribes showcase their business booths; traditional clothing, bags, weave fabrics, wallets, and more.

The event is focused on promoting and developing training and marketing strategies for potential Halal products (food and non-food), services, and certification from local and national Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.

The expo will run until Saturday, May 25.
