18 arrests on FM pass violations on Sunday

Eighteen individuals were arrested for violating the food and medicine pass suspension during the second Sunday lockdown in the city.

Col. Kirby John Kraft, city police director, said the arrests were recorded from 6 a.m. to Sunday noon.

There are two violators from Talomo, 13 in Buhangin and three in Bunawan while the rest of the police station recorded no arrests.

The total number of arrests was a massive drop from the first Sunday lockdown last week.

On the first Sunday lockdown, there were 157 individuals arrested by authorities for violating the food and medicine (FM) pass number coding scheme. On Sundays, residents are prohibited from going out and using their FM passes.

Only employees from exempted industries and establishments (health/medical, food, financial, gas, courier, BPO, security forces, and the media) are allowed to leave their homes for work.
