TOG 11 Turns Over Water System Project and Provides Aid to Indigenous Community

The Tactical Operations Group 11, TOWEASTMIN, under the leadership of Group Commander, TOG 11, COL OMAR FRIDZKHAN S ALPA PAF (GSC), achieved a significant milestone on April 20, 2023, as they successfully turned over a vital Water System Project and distributed food packs to the residents of Purok 7 in Barangay Mabunao in Panabo City, Davao Del Norte.

The completion of this project marks a substantial improvement in the quality of life for the community, which comprises various Indigenous People, including the Tausug, Maranao, and Iranon tribes. The lack of access to a reliable water supply has posed severe challenges for the residents, hindering their ability to practice fundamental hygiene protocols and increasing the risk of disease transmission.The TOG 11 Golf for a Cause event held on March 15, 2023, played a crucial role in selecting Purok 7 as one of the beneficiaries of this life-changing project. The event garnered support from Ms. Maris Gonzaga, ACDI Davao Branch, as well as various stakeholders, organizations, companies, and individuals who generously contributed to the cause.The successful completion of the Water System Project highlights the collective effort and dedication of TOG 11, Ms. Maris Gonzaga, and the compassionate sponsors involved. By addressing the long-standing issue of inadequate water access, the project has paved the way for improved hygiene practices and a healthier living environment for the community.

Furthermore, this achievement serves as an inspiration for future initiatives aimed at addressing the challenges faced by rural communities, particularly in the areas of agricultural development and resource management. The triumph of TOG 11’s efforts brings hope for a more sustainable future for Barangay Mabunao and its residents. Colonel ALPA PAF (GSC), the head of TOG 11, expressed his gratitude to all those involved in making this project indeed a success.
