Switching power interruptions on Feb. 1 and 3 in the northern part of Davao City

DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Saturday and Monday, Feb. 1 and 3, 2025, affecting customers in the northern part of Davao City. These are necessary to facilitate substation works at Pampanga Substation.

To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1.

Specifically affected are those from the entire Malagamot area, from Pampanga Substation going to Lanang, Lots for Less Pampanga, Waterfront Insular Hotel, Lizada Village, Azuela Cove, and crossing R. Castillo, Doña Pilar Village, Old Airport Road, Doña Salud, Legaspi Oil, Interco, PLDT Sasa, and from Mercury Drug Sasa, Star Oil Sasa,  Km. 10 to 13 Sasa, up to the corner of DPWH.

Additionally, another transfer of loads will be conducted for 30 minutes anytime between 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on the same day affecting customers from Pampanga Substation going to Lanang, Lots for Less Pampanga, Waterfront Insular Hotel, Lizada Village, Azuela Cove, and crossing R. Castillo, Doña Pilar Village, Old Airport Road, Doña Salud, Legaspi Oil, Interco, and PLDT Sasa.

Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be 45 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Monday, February 3. Customers from the entire Malagamot area, from Pampanga Substation going to Lanang, Lots for Less Pampanga, Waterfront Insular Hotel, Lizada Village, Azuela Cove, and crossing R. Castillo, Doña Pilar Village, Old Airport Road, Doña Salud, Legaspi Oil, Interco, PLDT Sasa, and from Mercury Drug Sasa, Star Oil Sasa,  Km. 10 to 13 Sasa, and up to the corner of DPWH will be affected by this service disruption.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
