A 20-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after four packs of marijuana were recovered from his possession while passing through the Task Force Davao and Bunawan police checkpoint in Licanan, Barangay Alejandra Navarro on Friday.
He was identified as Tabari Damiano Balindong, single, a resident of Purok Mangga, Tuburan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.
Recovered from his possession were four pieces of transparent plastic cellophane containing marijuana with an estimated total weight of 5.79 grams worth P694.8 and a dark blue Reebok sling bag.
The suspect was arrested by Cpl. Emar Joseph B. Gultiano, who was assigned at the bus inspection area of the checkpoint.
Maj. Noel Villahermosa, the Bunawan Police Station commander, said the suspect is now detained in their facility. He will face a case for violation of Sec. 11 of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
