PLDT-Smart partnered with Grab to kick off the Davao Leg Tech Week Philippines 2025 on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Acacia Hotel, Lanang, Davao City.
Tech Week is a multi-city event that will shape the future of business and technology in the country, which creates opportunities to explore, connect, and innovate while redefining industries and unlocking new possibilities.
The event highlights topics such as Tech City, Tech Stage, Tech Space, and Networking Nights.
CJ Lacsican, Grab Philippines vice president for cities, said they are spearheading the transformation of provincial and rural cities into dynamic digitalized smart cities, driving regional economic empowerment, and unlocking unprecedented opportunities for growth and prosperity in the digital age.
In her presentation, she said that Grab Philippines focuses on three core strategies to include revolutionizing transport eco systems, empowering Filipino entrepreneurs with digital business in a box tools, and enabling community collaboration.
“The objectives of PLDT of driving our goals of driving progress in the city is actually very much aligned to Grab’s promise and commitment to really fuel growth,” Lacsican said.
“We actually come in as a pure tech company platform helping to grow businesses, helping our operators, our existing drivers, that’s why we work very close with our communities,” Lacsican said in an interview.
Tech Week Philippines 2025 is the place to connect, collaborate, and contribute to the nation’s digital evolution. Similar events will also be held in Manila and Cebu in the coming days.
