DUAW DAVAO 2025 will introduce two new events in second year to spotlight the city’s cacao and coffee culture, in an activity it will launch on June 5.
Gracie Plata of the City Tourism Operations Office shared that this year’s celebration will highlight local coffee and cacao products, including a free city tour for locals and tourists.
She also said Duaw Davao’s goal every year is to expand from the previous events, such as the Esports tournament and the Reyna ng Davao.
“Definitely Davao City: Tsokolate ug Kape Crawl” will be an appreciation event to support local farmers in celebration of the month of Cacao in June. 15 coffee shops and 10 chocolate shops in the city will be selected to participate in the activity.
The second event ‘Definitely Davao City Tour’ will have trips at the Central 911, Davao City Library & Information Center, Philippine Eagle Center, Museo Dabawenyo, and the Doña Vicenta Park.
“Ang atoang mga events for Duaw Davao mag tuyok didto sa mga unique na mga offerings ni Davao City,” Plata said on May 23 at the PEP Talks.
Plata shared that the preparations are at 80% with ongoing simulations for the activities. As of now Reyna ng Davao 2025 is in its first screening.
Duaw Davao 2025 will run from June 5 to 29 with the opening to be held at Rizal Park, 5 p.m.
