DAVAO City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (DCCCIII) will host its first-ever back-to-back 27th Davao Agri Trade Expo (DATE) and 8th Davao Investment Conference (Davao ICON) to gather industry leaders, business councils, and international delegates on Sep 17 to 21.
As the first in DCCCII history, the two major events will showcase Davao Region’s investment-ready areas by inviting public and private entities, as well as immersing business people and agripreneurs of the future generation in thriving and innovative industries for years to come.
The main goal will not only highlight Davao’s progress but also mark the region in the Philippines to draw in new investments and open doors for greater opportunities.
Under its theme “Beyond Borders: Navigating the New Frontier”, this year will explore the untapped potential of the neighboring countries of Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA).
“For this year, our focus industries will be trade and tourism, manufacturing, real estate and infrastructure, agriculture as well as information technology,” Davao ICON 2025 chair Jennifer Ellen Dumlao said during the Kapehan sa Dabaw on May 5.
Dumlao expects a total of 180 exhibitors and 350 delegates for the upcoming Davao ICON. Activities during the event will include a golf tournament (Sep 17), opening ceremony, investment conference, and more (Sep 18 to 19), trade exhibit (Sep 18 to 20), and industry site tours (Sep 20 to 21).
The 27th DATE will also have similar activities of trade exhibits, technical seminars, including agri-financing, and business matching opportunities.
