2 in injured in Marilog truck crash

TWO INDIVIDUALS sustained injuries when a truck lost its brakes and crashed in Purok Kalinaw, Barangay Salaysay, Marilog District, at 6 a.m. on April 11, 2025.

Initial investigation revealed that a Sadam truck bearing plate number ANA 7728, driven by 45-year-old Archie Arandilla of Barangay Meocan, Arakan, South Cotabato, was traveling from Barangay Meocan toward the Davao-Bukidnon National Highway.

Arandilla told police investigators that they experienced sudden brake failure upon reaching the curve of Purok Kalinaw. He lost control of the vehicle and careened toward the road shoulder in front of the Lumbayon residence.

The driver and the truck helper, identified as 20-year-old Janh Klier Salvaloza Caro, also residing in Meocan, Arakan, North Cotabato, sustained injuries. They were treated on site by Central 911 medical personnel but were eventually transported to the nearest hospital.

Authorities are currently conducting further investigation into the incident. The driver reportedly could not present the vehicle’s official receipt and certificate of registration (OR/CR).
