BINIBINING Pilipinas Globe 2024 Jasmin Bungay was named 2nd runner-up in The Miss Globe coronation night on Wednesday, Oct. 16 (Philippine time) at the Tirana Olympic Park in Albania.
Colombia’s bet, Diana Moreno, was crowned The Miss Globe 2024 after besting 42 other empowered women across the globe.
Moreno succeeded Manvin Khera, the first Malaysian beauty queen to win the Miss Globe crown.
Thailand’s Prada Thansita Dilhokanansakul finished as first runner-up, while Germany’s Andromeda Schuster won third runner-up, and Vietnam’s Ha Trang Do clinched the fourth runner-up spot.
During the question and answer round, Bungay was asked by Luis Portelles, a pageant coach and analyst, to share her insights on how to maintain real human connections and show empathy every day as technology changes quickly.
“I believe that with the advancement of technology and also with the abuse that is prevalent now in the technological world, I believe to be emphatic is to live in the moment, to make sure that every moment is treasured not on the screen but in real life ’cause only when we have real connections, only when we connect with each other, face-to-face, physically then we can feel each other and then we can experience to the fullness of life,” she answered.
After Bungay’s feat at Miss Globe, the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) expressed their appreciation for the Filipina beauty.
“Congratulations on bringing home The Miss Globe 2024 2nd Runner-up crown, Jasmin Bungay! You have continually inspired us with your hard work and dedication throughout your The Miss Globe journey,” the BPCI wrote in an Instagram post.
In the 2023 edition of The Miss Globe, Bungay’s predecessor, Anna Lakrini, was also named second runner-up.
The Philippines last won a Miss Globe crown with Maureen Montagne in 2021.
