TASK FORCE Davao personnel arrested two individuals reportedly carrying illegal drugs worth more than P40,000 while on board a public utility vehicle at around 1:40 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20.
Col. Darren Comia, Task Force Davao commander, said the first apprehended was Eplem Marc Macas, 42, a Deca Homes, Mintal resident.
Seized from him was a sachet of shabu worth P36,800.
Meanwhile, Tagum City resident Elpid Saberong was arrested at the Barangay Lasang checkpoint at around 11:50 p.m. on June 19.
He was on board a bus travelling toward the city when he was flagged down. Seized from him was drug contraband worth P4,000.
The suspects and the confiscated evidence are now in the custody of Bunawan Police Station. They will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
