Yu-Pimentel awards 25 TESDA Scholars

OFFERING words of encouragement as they transition to a new phase of their lives, Mrs. Kathryna Yu-Pimentel, president of PDP Cares, honored the commencement ceremony for 25 Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) scholars at Academy Asia Marikina on Tuesday, Oct. 3.

These scholars were sponsored by Senator Koko Pimentel through the Tesda scholarship program, showcasing a dedication to supporting education and skills development within the community.

During the ceremony, Yu-Pimentel shared valuable words of encouragement and wisdom drawn from her personal journey as an entrepreneur and culinary artist. Her insights aimed to inspire and motivate the graduates as they embark on their own professional paths.

Aside from her speech, Yu-Pimentel personally awarded certificates to the 25 graduates of the Bread and Pastry Production NC II course at Academy Asia Marikina.

“I’m very happy to see and give an inspirational message to each one of them since the majority are mothers who are eager to augment the income of their families to improve their lives,” shared Yu-Pimentel in her Facebook post.

Yu-Pimentel remains a resolute inspiration for individuals who share her advocacies, particularly in education and women’s empowerment. She embodies the belief that the transformative potential of knowledge and skills and upholding women’s rights and opportunities are crucial in paving the way for a better and progressive community.
