THE MAHARLIKA Investment Fund (MIF) offers advantages for Filipinos, particularly in the investment and employment sectors, said Senator Mark Villar, the Senate’s deputy majority leader.
Villar also emphasized that the MIF will generate numerous job opportunities for Filipino citizens, and could be also utilized for the country’s investment in infrastructure.
The MIF, a sovereign wealth fund with a seed capital of P150 billion, was signed into law last July and was created from the Republic Act 11954. The MIF will be managed by Maharlika Investment Corp.
Sen. Villar said the MIF had already undergone a lot of hearings and consultations and had properly gone through the process of the Congress and Senate.
So, okay naman, wala naman kaming nakikitang problema,” he added.
