Tesda scholarship slots available at Polong’s office

THE Office of First District Rep. Paolo Z. Duterte is accepting scholarship applications for Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) program.

The office said the Tesda Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) will fill the skills gaps and job requirements of priority industries and sectors with high employment demand, improving the reach of quality TVET to the grassroots.

Tesda encourages technical-vocational institutions to offer the program with higher qualifications catering to in-demand industry requirements. 

The program supports the government’s thrust of rapid, inclusive, and sustained economic growth.

To qualify for scholarships, the office said, applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time the scholarship finishes the Tesda’s training program, and must be a high school graduate.

Among the programs are Automotive Servicing NC I, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, Health Care Services NC II, Computer Systems Servicing NC II and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II,

The courses are available at the Davao Institute of Technical Education, Inc., Toyozu Technical School Foundaton, Inc.m Efficio Training, Inc., St. Patrick Math-Sci School, Inc., and Core Institute of Technology, Inc.

Duterte said Tesda has been very important in helping Filipinos upgrade and reskill.

He also called on the training agency to improve its programs and services to provide its graduates with needed skills.
