Switching power interruptions on Oct. 11, 12, and 14 in different parts of Davao City

DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Oct. 11, 12, and 14, Friday, Saturday, and Monday affecting customers in different parts of Davao City.

The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate pole relocation works along Marfori. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between midnight and 1 a.m on Friday, Oct. 11. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes anytime between 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on the same day.

Specifically affected are customers from Eden Street Maa, Pest Science going to Maa Bridge and San Rafael Village Platinum Street including Datu Luho, Domsat Road, St. Michael Village, Don Julian Rodriguez Avenue, GEM Village, and portions of Maa Bypass Road and nearby areas.

In connection, a 4-hour power outage will be conducted anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Friday, October 11. Specifically affected are customers in Marfori area from Ruby Street corner Circumferential Road going to San Rafael Village Platinum Street, Brgy. 8 Marfori, including the streets of Coral, Garnet, Opal, Diamond, Emerald, Turquoise, Eagle, and a portion of Dove Street and nearby areas. Also affected are those in EMP Village 1, Gold Street, Greenhills Drive, Silver Street, Platinum Street, and nearby areas.

Lastly, switching power interruptions will be conducted on October 12 and 14 to facilitate substation works at Maa Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between midnight and 1 a.m on Saturday, Oct. 12. Specifically affected are customers from Tulip Drive going to Quimpo Boulevard South Grove up to downtown, the City Hall area, a portion of Bolton Street, and Pichon Street including portions of Quezon Boulevard area along the LTO Office.

Also affected are those in Buhangin Tigatto areas going to the entire Mandug from Panorama Homes, Juliville, Deca Homes Tigatto, Sitio Uyanguren, up to Callawa Mandug and portions of Indangan, including Palos Verdes and portions of Acacia.

Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes anytime between midnight and 1 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14. Specifically affected are those in the Buhangin Tigatto areas going to Mandug from Panorama Homes, Juliville, Deca Homes Tigatto, Sitio Uyanguren, up to Callawa Mandug and portions of Indangan, including Palos Verdes and portions of Acacia.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
