DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Sunday and Monday, Nov. 24 and 25, 2024 affecting customers in different parts of Davao City.
A 30-minute switching power interruption will be conducted on Sunday, November 24 anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. to normalize lines affected after emergency substation works at Ecoland Substation.
Specifically affected are portions of the downtown area from Quirino going to Bankerohan, portions of Sandawa and SIR New Matina to McArthur Highway Matina Town Square going to portions of Juna Subdivision, Acacia Street, and portions of Tulip Street and nearby areas. Also affected are those from portions of Juna Subdivision going to Tulip Drive and going to Green Coffee near Ecoland Terminal.
Another switching power interruption will be conducted on Sunday and Monday, November 24 and 25, to facilitate the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines’ maintenance works at the NGCP-Toril 69kV line. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 24.
Specifically affected are customers from R.Castillo Substation to Brgy Lapu-Lapu, Brgy Centro Extension, Villgos Village, Davao Fire Fighters, Kuilans R.Castillo, Alumina Industries, Agdao Flyover, and Gotamco going to Leon Garcia Street.
Also affected are those from the Boulevard area going to Bolton Bridge, Agro-Industrial riverside, portions of Ecoland to Frances Inn, the entire Toril areas going to Carabao statue, Eden Bayabas, including Lubogan, Tagakpan and Manambulan, and nearby areas.
Customers from the entire Dumoy area to Daliao Toril including Vales Beach, going to Libby Road, Toril Memorial via Bago Aplaya Road, and nearby areas and Puan areas going to Mercury Ulas will also be affected by this service disruption.
Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Monday, November 25.
Specifically affected are customers from the entire Toril area to Carabao statue, Eden Bayabas, including Lubogan, Tagakpan, and Manambulan, and nearby areas, the entire Dumoy area to Daliao Toril including Vales Beach, going to Libby Road, Toril Memorial via Bago Aplaya Road, and nearby areas, and entire Puan area going to Mercury Ulas.
Also affected are those in the Boulevard area going to Bolton Bridge, Agro-Industrial riverside, portions of Ecoland to Frances Inn, portions of the downtown area from Pichon Street, Magallanes, including City Hall, SP Building, and Bolton Extension.
Lastly, customers from R.Castillo Substation to Brgy Lapu-Lapu, Brgy Centro Extension, Villgos Village, Davao Fire Fighters, Kuilans R.Castillo, Alumina Industries, Agdao Flyover, and Gotamco going to Leon Garcia Street will also be affected by this service disruption.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
