DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Sunday, December 8, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City.
A 10-hour power outage will be conducted from 12:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. affecting customers from corner Mahayag and Bunawan-Maharlika Highway to Mahayag proper, including Tagorot Licanan, Bosque, Brgy. San Isidro Bunawan and Piatos Bunawan. These are necessary to facilitate line upgrading works at Mahayag Line.
Meanwhile, a normalization activity will be conducted for 30 minutes anytime between 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. to facilitate the return of loads to their normal set-up after the substation works at P. Reyes Substation.
Specifically affected are customers from the corner of Gempesaw Street and Ramon Magsaysay Avenue to Leon Garcia Street, Sta. Ana Avenue to Lizada Street, Quezon Boulevard to Bolton Bridge, including Bucana, City Hall and SP Building, portions of Pichon Street and Bolton Extension, and neighboring areas.
Also affected are those from Gaisano Grand Toril, Carabao Statue Gaisano Mall Toril going to Sirawan and Binugao areas, including Therma South, Inc.
Customers from Buhangin Substation to Diho Subdivision, Cabantian Road, Buhangin Memorial to Gaisano Grand Citygate Mall and Crossing Milan, Camp Catitipan, F. Bangoy International Airport, the entire Cabantian area, Amakan, Indangan and portions of Malagamot area, portions of Mamay Road going to Diversion Road, and COA Office to Airport View will also be affected by this service disruption.
Lastly, customers from portions of Tulip Drive going to MacArthur Highway MTS, Ilustre area, JS Gaisano Grand Ilustre, Gov. Duterte Street to portions of Pelayo Street, and from Tulip Drive going to McArthur Highway including portions of University Avenue Juna Subdivision to portions of Quirino Avenue including Bankerohan area and portions of Madapo hills, Marfori, including portions of J. Camus Street, Malvar Street, and San Pedro Extension will also be affected by this outage.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
