SM Lanang and SM City Davao continue to spread the holiday cheer to 90 abandoned children and kids with autism through ChriSMiles, an annual employee volunteerism program, held on December 17-18, 2024.

SM Supermalls Regional HR Manager Ruby Saño handing a Bear of Joy to a kid during the ChriSMiles activity held at the Reception and Study Center for Children at the SPMC Compound on December 18, 2024.

Children under the care of the Rainbow Intervention Center for Autism Foundation Inc. (RICAFI) and the Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) received gifts composed of art materials, SM Bears of Joy stuffed toys, crawling mats, school supplies, hygiene kits, treats, milk, and other baby necessities, respectively.

RICAFI, which was founded in 1996, is the first center in Davao City that caters to persons with autism while the RSCC, which is situated in the Southern Philippines Medical Center compound, is a 24-hour residential facility managed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development XI which provides protection and rehabilitation services through temporary residential care to neglected, abandoned, abused, and exploited children.

Through ChriSMiles, a Human Resources Department-led initiative, SM Lanang and SM City Davao encourage their employees to find the deeper meaning of Christmas by sharing their blessings with people in need in their respective communities. This annual program has already benefitted thousands of Filipinos nationwide.
