DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct switching power interruptions on March 2, 2024, Saturday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte. These disruptions are necessary to conduct upgrading works at the Bunawan-Don Ramon 138kV line and Panabo Substation.
The switching power interruption will be for 2 hours from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for 1 hour from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Specifically affected are customers from Buhisan Tibungco to the entire Bunawan in Davao City, and Panabo, San Vicente, Carmen, Tadeco, and Sto. Tomas in Davao del Norte, and nearby areas.
Another switching power interruption will be conducted for 1 hour and 30 minutes from 12:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations. Specifically affected are customers from Buhangin, Panacan, and Tibungco areas in Davao City.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
