Service disruptions on June 29 and July 1 in different parts of Davao City

DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on June 29 and July 1, 2024, Saturday and Monday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City. These are necessary to facilitate line upgrading works at the Ulas Viaduct Project.

To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to nearby lines for 1 hour anytime between midnight to 2 a.m. on Saturday, June 29. Specifically affected are those from Davao Light Bangkal Substation going to Ulas, Mintal up to Bambu Estate Subdivision, including the Davao City Water District Talomo Sump 1 and 2 Reservoir.

Also affected are those along Davao-Digos Road from Talomo going to Gaisano Grand Toril, including Libby Road, Rasay Street, Agton Street, Lubogan, and all neighboring areas.

Customers from the corner of Gempesaw Street and Ramon Magsaysay Avenue to Leon Garcia Street, Sta. Ana Avenue to Lizada Street, Boulevard to Ecoland, including Bucana and Monteverde to Villa Abrille, and neighboring areas are also affected by this service interruption.

Lastly, customers in Matina Aplaya, Matina McArthur Highway, Maa Road, Diversion Road from Matina Pangi to Jade Valley, Juliville to Tigatto, Mandug, Callawa, Indangan, and all neighboring areas, are also affected by this scheduled power interruption.

Another switching power interruption for the same purpose will be conducted for 1 hour anytime between midnight to 2 a.m. on Monday, July 1. Specifically affected are those from Davao Light Bangkal Substation going to Ulas, Mintal up to Bambu Estate Subdivision, including the Davao City Water District Talomo Sump 1 and 2 Reservoir.

Also affected are those from Matina Aplaya, Matina McArthur Highway, Maa Road, Diversion Road from Matina Pangi to Jade Valley, Juliville to Tigatto, Mandug, Callawa, Indangan, and all neighboring areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
