Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of power interruptions on August 30, Sunday, and September 1, Tuesday, affecting customers in the northern part of Davao City.
These service disruptions will be necessary to facilitate upgrading of Davao Light Buhangin Substation and 69 kV line works along Diversion Road.
Two 30-minute power interruptions will be conducted on August 30, anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and on September 1, anytime between 12:45 a.m. to 1:45 a.m. affecting customers in Leon Garcia Street, R. Castillo Street, Lanang, Pampanga, Sasa and neighboring areas.
Another set of power interruptions for 1 hour will also be conducted on these dates anytime between 12:15 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.. Specifically affected are customers from Commission on Audit (COA) Regional Office XI going to Ilang, including Davao International Airport, Catitipan, Panacan, Malagamot and neighboring areas.
Moreover, customers from Gaisano Grand Citygate in Buhangin going to Cabantian, Communal, Indangan and those from Santol Street corner Buhangin Diversion Road going to COA Regional Office XI, including NHA Buhangin and nearby areas will experience a 30-minute power interruption on August 30 anytime between 12:45 a.m. to 1:45 a.m. and on September 1 anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m..
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by this scheduled power interruption. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
