Davao Light announces service disruptions on Aug. 26-27

THE DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of switching power interruptions on August 26 and 27, Saturday and Sunday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City.

These power interruptions are necessary to conduct maintenance works at NGCP-Davao Substation.

The first power interruption will be for 1 hour anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on April 26, Saturday, to conduct isolation of affected lines.

Specifically affected are customers in the entire Catalunan Pequeño, Sto Niño, Mintal, Tugbok, Tacunan, Ula, Angalan, Tagakpan, Sirib, Manuel Guianga, Tamayong, Cadalian, Cawayan, Subasta, Balingaeng, Wangan, Baguio, Tawantawan, Malagos, Calinan Proper, Lacson, Wines, Tambobong, Biao Matina, Biao Guianga, Biao Escuela, Biao Joaquin, New Valencia, Gumalang, Tamugan, Lamanan, Inayangan, Marilog, Datu Salumay, Malamba, Buda, and immediate environs.

Also affected are customers in the entire Ulas, Talomo, Puan, Bago Gallera, Bago Aplaya, Dumoy, Mulig, Bato, Bayabas, Marapangi, Toril, Lizada, Sirawan, Catigan, Binugao, Baracatan, and immediate environs; as well as those in the entire Matina, Bangkal, Catalunan Grande, Maa, Magtuod, Langub, Ecoland, Boulevard, Magallanes, San Pedro Square, and nearby areas.

Customers from corner Gempesaw St. and Ramon Magsaysay Ave. to Leon Garcia St., Sta. Ana Avenue to Lizada Street, Boulevard to Ecoland, including Bucana, and Monteverde to Villa Abrille and neighboring areas; as well as the entire Agdao, Lanang, Pampanga, Sasa, and neighboring areas will also be affected by this service interruption.

Also affected are customers in the portion of Mamay Road from Roseville Subdivision to JP Laurel Junction, JP Laurel from Go Hotel Lanang up to Carmelite Church, including SM Lanang, and neighboring areas; as well as those in Tigatto, Mandug and Callawa areas; including Panorama Homes, Juliville Subdivision, Victor’s Village Tigatto, DDF Village, Deca Homes Tigatto, Callawa, Lapanday Foods, Dona Pilar Rodriguez Elementary School, Mandug Elementary School, Callawa Elementary School, Pablo Lorenzo National High School, Fatima Elementary School, Brgy. Talandang, Sitio Bunggan, Brgy. Lampiano, Prk 4 Brgy. Dalagdag – Calinan District, Palos Verdes Commercial Establishment, and the immediate environs.

Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for 1 hour anytime between 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on August 26, Saturday. Additionally, there will be another 1 hour switching power interruption anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on August 27, Sunday to conduct isolation of affected lines.

Specifically affected are customers in the entire Catalunan Pequeño, Sto Niño, Mintal, Tugbok, Tacunan, Ula, Angalan, Tagakpan, Sirib, Manuel Guianga, Tamayong, Cadalian, Cawayan, Subasta, Balingaeng, Wangan, Baguio, Tawan Tawan, Malagos, Calinan Proper, Lacson, Wines, Tambobong, Biao Matina, Biao Guianga, Biao Escuela, Bia Joaquin, New Valencia, Gumalang, Tamugan, Lamanan, Inayangan, Marilog, Datu Salumay, Malamba, Buda, and immediate environs.

Also affected are customers in a portion of Talomo, Ulas, and immediate environs; as well as the entire Matina, Bangkal, Catalunan Grande, Maa, Magtuod, Langub, Ecoland, Boulevard, Magallanes, San Pedro Square, and nearby areas.

The above areas will also experience the normalization or return of loads back to their normal setup for 1 hour anytime between 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on August 27, Sunday.

This will also affect customers from Davao Light Toril Substation to Sirawan and neighboring areas; as well as those from Davao Light Toril Substation to J-15 Japan Surplus, including Dumoy Road, and neighboring areas.

Lastly, customers in the entire Puan, portion of Talomo, portion of Bangkal, including DCWD Talomo Sump, Jollibee Talomo, Libby Road, Lorenzo Village, Carmelo Subdivision, Reldo Village, San Lorenzo Village, Bago Aplaya, Adciville Subdivision, Rosalina Village 1, Susana Farm, Toscana Subdivision, Amiya Residences, Lower Rapnaga, Apo Golf and Country Club, and neighboring areas will also be affected by this service interruption.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
