Scene City: Around the World through Zumba

Although Zumba has somehow revolutionized the dance and fitness industry in the country, a Costa Rican lady, Zoila Alvarado, who loves to dance, is giving her best effort to introduce it to more people in the various communities.

Zumba was first introduced to the world by Colombian Beto Perez, who visited Davao a few years back and performed with the Zumba enthusiasts at The Royal Mandaya Hotel in Davao City.
On Feb. 22, 2019, at People’s Park, everyone is invited to witness the performance and presentation of Zumba instructors and dancers who have choreographed their numbers for the first part of the event with the first time participation of the Belly Dance Group.
The event will be at 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The second part will be the opening of the Zumba class with Zes Napoleon from Tagum City, who will be holding a training of basic Zumba at the Holiday Gym on Sunday, February 24 in Davao City.

Zoila Alvarado is happy to hold this Zumba event at People’s Park to encourage more people to learn and join the fun and promote physical fitness for all because she comes from Latin America. Zumba originated from Colombia. Also, she is giving her full support to Zes Daniel Napoleon Bacus for this event.
For Zoila the Zumba Community is like a family, supporting each other, with colleagues, the Zin Zumba instructors joining the event.
Since this is not a fund-raising event, T-shirts will be sold for those who want to join the event for the cost of transportation of the participants.
