Davao City – Following safety protocols amidst the pandemic on a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) area is a real must at the Eaglemasters Golf Driving Range which recently opened its doors to local golfing enthusiasts last June 9, Tuesday.
The golfing facility located at the Crocodile Park in Gadi Road, Barangay Ma-a, welcomed its avid customers who eagerly took their golf clubs and lined-up on their respective bays as the City Mayor’s Office and the City Sports Development Division provided the ‘thumbs up’ gesture quite sometime after the lockdown.
‘They should follow our safety protocols inside the driving range. We politely tell our avid golfers what are those safety measures upon entering the facility,’ said Leo Abellera Magno, President of the Eaglemasters Golf Club.
Safety protocols upon reaching the entrance include temperature check (body temperature above 37.5 will be asked to leave), hand sanitizer and disinfecting foot mats which are provided and a log in for one’s name and contact number. The no mask, no entry rule is strictly observed.
Balls and drinks are ordered and paid upon entry in which will be delivered at their respective bays. Other protocols include, one bay, one vehicle only; unload and load own golf equipment and personal belongings; players should stay within their bays and players should immediately leave the premises after playing.
Eaglemasters Golf Range rate is pegged at P300 per player inclusive of unlimited balls for one hour and 30 minutes and an additional of P200 for every succeeding hour.
‘We did do away with the per bucket payment for our players not to lag too long,’ said Magno adding that it would also accommodate more incoming golfers as they practice the alternate bay player placement for purpose of social distancing.
‘The management has the right to refuse entry and services to those who refuse to follow our rules,’ he stressed.
Aside from the Eaglemasters Golf Driving Range, Power Golf Driving Range at Purok 18 Gem Village in Ma-a and Winners Golf at Eden Street Datu Loho Village in Ma-a also opened its doors.
Power Golf opens from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with rates ranging from P60 per bucket while Winners Golf at the same time is pegged at P70 per bucket on a three-plus-one bonus.
