Random Thoughts | Are we at the brink of the great tribulation?

“This “great tribulation” is a major prophetic event mentioned in many other prophecies throughout the Bible.” (Paul Lueke, “Where are we now, in Bible prophecy?” Discern, September/October 2017)

Lueke added: “In brief, these prophesy show that this tribulation will last 3 ½ years and culminate with the return of Jesus Christ. Some specific events prophesied to occur during the Great Tribulation have not yet been fulfilled. So, in other words, we are not yet in the final 3 ½ years of this age.”

If that is the case, we may ask: “How near are we to the start of that Great Tribulation?” Per Lueke, relatively speaking, there seems to be only a few details yet to materialize before all factors are in place for the final 3 ½ years of this world to commence”. His conclusion: “Consider that these dynamics were not apparent in even the first half of the 20th century, but together, they give the picture of a world on the brink of the Great Tribulation” (underlining mine).

By the way, tribulation means “great misery, distress or affliction.”
Lueke cited ten biblical verses which are very relevant to this coming world event. These are: 1) Many shall run to and pro (Daniel 12:4), 2. Knowledge shall increase (Daniel 12:4), 3) And there will be famine, pestilence and earthquakes in various places (Matthew 24:7), 4) And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved (Matthew 24:22), 5) And I will grant unto my two witnesses to prophesy for a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth (Revelation 11:3-11), 6) And the sixth angel sounded the trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God (Revelation 9:13-19), 7) At that time there shall arise Michael, the great prince, guardian of your people; it shall be a time unsurpassed in distress since nations began unto that time. AT that time your people shall escape, everyone who is found written in the book” (Daniel 12), 8) For then there will be great tribulation such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, nor will be.” (Matthew 24:21), 9. But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, and then know that its desolation is near. (Luke 21:20), 10. Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place-let him who reads understand then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains” (Matthew 24:15)

Per Lueke’s analysis, seven of these ten prophecies are already happening. Our own analysis jibes with Lueke’s. Obviously we are in the brink of the Great Tribulation.

Based on some scientists’ studies, thirty years from 2020, global warming, or climate change will have terrible consequences to all lives on earth.

One of the computerized population data we saw when my wife and I visited an Aquarium complex in Monterey, California, USA in the late nineties, showed that by 2050, this whole planet earth will already be congested with people that will dangerously pollute our environment! Clearly, the Word of God and scientific findings point out that Apocalypse is soon coming in perhaps about thirty to forty years from now! This means people now aging fifty years and below could most probably witness and experience this Great Tribulation.

What do we do now? Like boy scouts, let’s be prepared! In Luke 21:34-36, it is written: “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be overburdened with self-indulgence and drunkenness and the cares of this life and that day come upon you’re suddenly as a snare. For come it will upon all who dwell on the face of the earth. Watch, then, praying at all times, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that are to be and to stand before the Son of Man.” It is clear as whistle as to what we should do, “di ba?”

Henceforth, let’s all refocus our lives and seriously attend to our spiritual, moral and ethical lives more than our earthly ambitions. Love of God, country and family, in that right hierarchy, be our major concerns from now on, in readiness to the forthcoming four horsemen (war, strife, famine and pestilence) of Apocalypse and Second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ judgment day is just around the corner.

Our forthcoming book titled “Go for real transformation” will be a good reference in preparation for this Great Tribulation. It deals with radical (from the root) reforms desperately needed by our country and citizenry. New Filipinos, New Philippines and New World ruled by love by the God of Man where abundance, justice peace and joy will reign forever.

This article is a warning and of hope for all of our readers. To renew ourselves may be part of our New Year Resolution. Please share this message of “Good News” to members of your family, friends and neighbors for their transformation and salvation.

For more detailed information on the subject, read the book of Apocalypse in our Holy Bible written by St. John the Apostle in 96 A.D. It is “a revelation of the things that were, are and will be. It is about the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ which some people “guessed” will be in the ancient City of Mageddo in Palestine.

With this growing pandemic of COVID-19, worldwide air and water pollution, and dangerous climate change, are the four horsemen of the Apocalypse starting their gallop on earth? Our advice: “Strengthen our immune system, practice social distancing, be responsible stewards of God’s creation, pray hard and repent. Be anxious to motivate as to do the needful but DON’T PANIC!”
