Power outages on April 6, 9, 10, 11 in the city, DavNor

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of switching power interruptions on April 6, 9, 10, and 11, Thursday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte.

The first series of power interruptions will be on April 6, Thursday, to isolate ERA Substation for stringing of a new 138kV Line along JP Laurel Avenue and to conduct maintenance works in the said substation.

The first set of power interruptions will be for 1 hour anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on April 6, Thursday to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 1 hour, anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on April 11, Tuesday.

Specifically affected are customers from Roxas Ave., C.M. Recto Ave., Jacinto St., Guerrero St., Guzman St., a portion of Villa Abrille St., parts of Monteverde St., R. Magsaysay Ave., Sta. Ana Ave. and neighboring areas; as well as those in GMall Bajada, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are customers from Davao Light Office in C. Bangoy Sr. St. going to Rizal St., Bonifacio St., J. Palma Gil St., San Pedro St., and A. Pichon St., including Crooked Road, Rizal Ext., Bolton St., Iñigo St., Pelayo St., Ilustre Ext. and neighboring areas; as well as those from Teodoro Palma Gil Elem. School along Quirino Ave. going to Matina Town Square, including J.Camus St., J. Abad Santos St., Mabini St., F. Torres St., Tionko Ave., Lopez Jaena St., Ilustre St., Legaspi St., Gov. Duterte St., Gen. Luna St., Gen. Malvar St., Mt. Apo St., Pag-asa St., Mt. Mayon St., San Pedro Ext., Bankerohan Public Market, Marfori St., Gravahan Matina, SIR area, Sandawa, and neighboring areas.

Customers from F. Torres St., from DepEd Region XI to corner Lopez Jaena St, including RMC Gymnasium and neighboring areas; as well as those from J.Camus Ext., from Barangay 9-A Hall to corner F. Torres St., and neighboring areas will also be affected by these service interruptions.

Also affected are customers in Arellano Extension near Central Bank, Mt.Apo St. up to Davao Doctors Hospital, part of Gen. Luna up to Limso Hospital, Part of Mabini St. up to Circumferential Rd. up to Brokenshire Hospital, DCWD warehouse (F.Selga St.); including Mother Ignacia Village, Ipil-Ipil Alley at Madapo Hills, Davao Doctors Hospital, Brokenshire Hospital, Limso Hospital, Central Bank and its neighboring areas.

Customers in Guzman Street, from San Pedro Hospital to Holy Cross of Davao College, including San Pedro Hospital; as well as those from Davao-Digos Road, from Bago Bridge to Malta Medical Center to Japan Surplus, and neighboring areas will also be affected by these service interruptions.

Also affected are customers in Ideal Subdivision, Bago Aplaya Landless Association, Divino Compound Bago Aplaya, Bliss Project, Villa Mercedita Bago Aplaya, Balai Bago Aplaya, D’Garden Bago Aplaya, Sto. Rosario Village, Dusnai Subd, Greenland Subdivision, Hinundayan Homes Dumoy Toril, Sison Subdivision, Dacoville Subdivision, Don Lorenzo Homes, DLF Village, Toril Country Homes, Jose Bastida Elem School, Magsaysay Elementary School, Juan dela Cruz Elementary School, Davao Central College, Dona Carmen Denia City High School, Dr. P Ocampo College, Davao Doctors Hospital Dumoy, Mergrande Resort, Paraiso Beach, Dumoy Beach Resort, Mervillas, Waterworld Resort, and neighboring areas.

Customers from Dumoy Substation, Bago Aplaya URC to near Phoenix Gas Station Dumoy to Harvey’s Kambingan, and neighboring areas; customers from URC to Lubogan Cemetery Toril, including Gallera de Oro Subdivision, Kaliraya Homes, Spring Valley Subd. Bago Gallera, JCEP Village Bago Gallera, Purok 2 Bago Gallera, Susan Homes Baliok, Bagahai Brgy Baliok and, neighboring areas; those from Dumoy Substation to UFC Dumoy, and neighboring areas; as well as customers from Gaisano Grand Mall Toril going to Binugao, including Catigan, Sirawan, Baracatan, and nearby areas will also be affected by these service interruptions.

Lastly, customers from Malta Medical Center going to Carabao statue near Gaisano Grand Toril and going to Bayabas Eden road, and nearby areas; and those fromLubogan and Tagakpan Manambulan road, and nearby areas; and from Malta Medical Center going to UFC Dumoy, Sampaguita St., and going to near MyGas Station at Saavedra St. via De Guzman St., and nearby areas will only be affected by the normalization on April 11, Tuesday.

The second set of power interruptions will be for 1 hour and 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on April 6, Thursday to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 1 hour and 30 minutes, between 10:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on April 10, Monday.

Specifically affected are customers from J.P. Laurel Ave., from Carmelite Church up to Abreeza Mall, including Carmelite Rd., Margarita Village Rd., Park Ave., Dumanlas Rd., Palm Drive, Dacudao Ave., parts of Cabaguio Avenue, and nearby areas; as well as those from J.P. Laurel Ave., from Aeon Towers to Redemptorist Church, and neighboring areas; and those in Abreeza Mall, and neighboring areas.

The third set of power interruptions will be for 1 hour and 30 minutes anytime between 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. on April 6, Thursday to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 1 hour and 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on April 11, Tuesday.

Specifically affected are customers in the entire Barrio Obrero, N. Torres St., Villamor St., Porras St., Lapu-Lapu St., Loyola St., Cabaguio Ave., and neighboring areas; as well as those in R.Castillo St., from N. Arroyo Junction to Holy Cross Drive Junction, including Holy Cross Agdao, Jose L. Porras Elem. School, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are customers from J.P. Laurel Ave. from Abreeza Mall going to Ateneo de Davao University, including Medical School Drive, parts of Circumferential Road,  a portion of F. Torres St., Jacinto Ext., V. Mapa St., T. Palma Gil St., parts of Dacudao Ave. and nearby areas; as well as those from Bacaca Road going to Diversion Road via El Rio Vista Village, Garcia Heights, and neighboring areas.

The fourth set of power interruptions will be for 1 hour anytime between 3:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on April 6, Thursday to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 1 hour, anytime  between 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on April 11, Tuesday.

Specifically affected are customers in the entire Cabantian, Communal, and Indangan; including Gaisano Grand City Gate and nearby areas; as well as those from a portion of Buhangin, along Diversion Road from COA Office to Panacan Cemetery; including Catitipan, Davao International Airport, and neighboring areas; and those along Diversion Road from Panacan Cemetery to Airport View, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are customers in the entire Panacan, Ilang and Mudiang; including Malagamot and neighboring areas; as well as those in Sto. Tomas, Dujali, including Paquibato, Manay, Tubod, Malitbog, TADECO, DAPECOL, La Libertad, Kimamon, Katipunan, Luna, and nearby areas.

The fifth set of power interruptions will be for 1 hour anytime between 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on April 6, Thursday to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be conducted in different schedules for the affected areas, as follows:

One hour anytime between 3:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on April 11, Tuesday for customers in the entire Panabo City, Carmen, including Panabo Wharf, New Visayas, Alejal, and nearby areas; as well as those in the entire Pampanga, Sasa, DICT, and neighboring areas. The entire Agdao and Lanang areas will experience the April 6 outage but will have a separate normalization schedule.

Thirty minutes anytime, between 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on April 10, Monday for  customers in the portion of Buhangin, a portion of Mamay Road from Comus Grill up to St. Anthony Subdivision including Roseville Subdivision, Diversion Road from Floor Center to Orange Grove, and neighboring areas.

Two hours anytime between 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on April 11, Tuesday for customers from a portion of Mamay Road from St. Anthony Subdivision to JP Laurel Junction, JP Laurel from Go Hotel Lanang up to Carmelite Church, including SM Lanang, and neighboring areas. Also affected are customers from N. Arroyo St., R. Castillo St. from N.Arroyo Junction to Agdao Flyover, and neighboring areas; as well as those from Leon Garcia Street, from Agdao Flyover to Asian International School of Aeronautic and Technology, and neighboring areas.

Lastly, the sixth set of power interruptions will be for 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. and between 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m on April 6, Thursday to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations; and for another 30 minutes anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on April 10, Monday; and between 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on April 11, Tuesday for the normalization.

Specifically affected are customers in Mamay Road, from Comus Grill to Crossing Daang Maharlika Highway, and neighboring areas; as well as those in Daang Maharlika Highway, from Crossing Mamay Road to Orange Grove Hotel, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are customers in JP Laurel Avenue, from Davao Light Substation to Bajada Flyover, and neighboring areas; as well as those in Buhangin-Lapanday Road, from Bajada Flyover to Orange Grove Hotel, including Ladislawa Village, San Pedro Village, Camella Northpoint, Spring Valley, Sandawa Village, and Pag-asa Homes, and neighboring area; and those in Davao Light Bajada Office, MDMRC, SPMC, DOH Region XI, and neighboring areas.

The second series of power interruptions will be on April 9, Sunday, to relocate the 69kV Pole near Roadway Inn Bajada.

The first power interruption will be for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on April 9, Sunday to facilitate the transfer of loads to nearby substations. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes anytime between 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on the same date.

Specifically affected are customers along Mamay Road from Comus Grill to Crossing Daang Maharlika Highway, and neighboring areas; as well as those along Daang Maharlika Highway from Crossing Mamay Road to Orange Grove Hotel, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are customers along Buhangin-Lapanday Road from HB3 Hardware to Samulco Buhangin, including Spring Valley, Sandawa Village, and Pag-asa Homes, and neighboring areas; as well as those along JP Laurel Avenue from Robinsons Cyber Gate Delta to Carmelite, and neighboring areas.

The second power interruption will be for 8 hours, from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on April 9, Sunday.  

Specifically affected are customers along JP Laurel Avenue, from Davao Light Substation to Bajada Flyover, and neighboring areas; as well as those along Buhangin-Lapanday Road from Bajada Flyover to HB3 Hardware, including Ladislawa Village, San Pedro Village, Camella Northpoint, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are customers along JP Laurel Avenue from Davao Light Bajada to Robinsons Cyber Gate Delta, and neighboring areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
