Meanwhile, a former platoon commander (alias Tonton) also informed the 89th IB about an arms cache containing two M14 rifles and one M1 Carbine rifle in San Fernando, Bukidnon, on April 23.

On the same day, soldiers unearthed two M16 rifles and one AK-47 rifle following a tip from a resident.

Bgen Marion Angcao,  1003RD Infantry Brigade commander, commended the troops and attributed the success to a combination of operations, intelligence gathering, and civil-military operations. He urged remaining CNTs to surrender through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-Clip).

Angcao also encouraged residents to report any information related to CNT activities to help end their atrocities in the area.
