Police Files: 1 dead in Panacan stabbing

An alleged stabbing occurred in the New Davao Oil Mill parking space at Km. 14, Panacan around 8:30 PM on Sunday, April 7, 2019.

As reported by the Buhangin Police District, they have identified the suspect as Lemuel Gabatan Serondo, 24, a laborer residing at Bay View Village, Km. 11, Sasa.

And the victim as Ronald Maceda who sustained two stab wounds on the left chest.

According to Federico Teorema Avuena, 52, a witness, he and the victim were drinking at the hallway of the said parking space when the suspect suddenly appeared with a knife in hand and stabbed the victim, hitting him on the left chest, without saying anything.

The suspect then fled towards the dark area of the parking space.

In an effort to save the victim, he was rushed to the SPMC by Annefe Gabatan Serondo, the sister of the suspect, for medical treatment.

The victim, however, was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician Dr. Katrina S. Larrazabal.
