Police arrest four in weekend drug busts

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) apprehended four suspected drug personalities in separate buy-bust operations across the city over the weekend. 

Acting city director Col. Hansel Marantan said the DCPO is committed to its mandate to curb drug-related crimes. 

“With the continued support of the community, we are successfully conducting operations and apprehending those involved in the illegal drug trade,” said Marantan.

Three successful anti-drug operations were carried out by various police stations within 24 hours, resulting in the seizure of shabu with an estimated street value of P26,792.

The breakdown of the confiscated drugs is as follows:

  • PS2-San Pedro: P4,352 worth of shabu
  • PS4-Sasa: P2,720 worth of shabu
  • PS5-Buhangin: P19,720 worth of shabu

Marantan thanked barangay officials, the community, and the local government unit for their support.

“Illegal drugs are a major contributor to crime in various areas,” Marantan emphasized. “The DCPO will continue to conduct operations to ensure a safer environment for all.”
