PLAIN AND SIMPLE | Remembering Al Aboitiz

Dunno but Al made me feel important when he was still the COO of Davao light.

One assembly at a downtown resto when stakeholders were gathered to explain the new dynamics of the power firm, Al picked my name to explain the indigent budget Davao light has offered its services into.

I also remember Al picked Councilor Salvador to know his houses. Kantyaw Councilor Salvador received because aside from his house in Doña Pilar he has a house in Agdao or asa to.

And third, and to me this is the most important, Al explained the drive of DLPC to make the power firm most efficient.

Al warned employees of Davao light to shape up or ship out. If he said something’s wrong in your area of designation say nadaot Ang post Al said the one in charge must restore power in 5 minutes. Or resign.

Pero karon that kind of Davao light service is gone. Even senior citizens paying their power bills mutindig ug mulinya sa Victoria og dinha harap sa Toyota Matina. Kainit. Kalooy.

Al I am sure is never happy sa Davao light service karon. What is worse, you cannot just enter the offices of Davao light to see somebody. The security guards are strict probably with instruction from management.

Once we pay our bills sa SM and we had all the convenience. We had chairs and the seniors can sit comfortably before paying. Karon dili na. Grabe kainit. One day I saw a long queue of people sa kilid sa Victoria. Why?

Paatras and service sa Davao light ug paatras and serbisyo. Nagsalig because DLPC created the need for power ug Kay nacreate na dependent na mga tao.?

DLPC is public service. Al Aboitiz is uneasy in his grave knowing that the power firm that he managed with compassion is now serving with out love.

Kalooy sa mga senior. Citizens..Can DLPC do something better for the public.?
