PBBM to continue projects and programs for Mindanao’s development: Leo Magno

PRESIDENTIAL Assistant for Eastern Mindanao Leo Tereso Magno assures the American Chamber of Commerce Philippines-Mindanao Chapter, headed by its executive director Ebb Hinchcliffe and Mindanao chapter president Jocelyn Catampo, that Mindanao will never be neglected under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Magno said that President Marcos Jr. has been consistent with his statement that projects and programs will continue to be given to Mindanao during his administration.

“After the 2022 elections, I know that at the back of the minds of Mindanaons, just like me, will Mindanao get the same support it got from the previous administration?” Magno said during his address to the American Chamber on Jan. 19.

He said that there are several Mindanaons who are members of the Cabinet and are willing to champion the cause and concerns of Mindanao like Department of Budget and Management Sec. Minah Pangandaman, Special Assistant to the President Antonio Ernesto Lagdameo Jr., Vice President Sara Duterte, and himself.

Magno encouraged the American Chamber of Commerce Philippines, Inc., Mindanao Chapter to be one of the government’s partners in bringing a better Mindanao, a better Philippines.

“Not only to advance our business but to build a better future for our children and grandchildren,” he said.

Magno also acknowledged the efforts and contributions of American Chamber of Commerce Philippines, Inc., Mindanao Chapter former President Philip ‘Sonny’ Dizon.

Dizon was President of the group from 2012 to 2017. He is also one of the group’s pioneering members.

Dizon unfortunately passed away early this month due to a motorcycle accident.
