THE JOURNEY begins now, and it is a promising path ahead. The Search for Outstanding Accounting Students of the Philippines (SOASP) enters its 25th year to another momentous milestone as it celebrates and highlights outstanding accounting students nationwide.

Last Sept. 13, P&A Foundation Inc., (P&A Foundation), the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), and the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Commerce and Industry (ACPACI) signed a Memorandum of Agreement that built another notable legacy for promising accounting students.

The exceptional leaders who signed this partnership include Romualdo V. Murcia III, P&A Foundation Chairperson, Atty. Randy B. Blanza, PICPA National President, Vicente C. Gudani, PICPA National Sectoral Director for Education, Anna Lissa Chua-Dycaico, ACPACI National President, Marc John M. Guiab, ACPACI SOASP Chair, and Atty. Olivier D. Aznar, P&A Foundation Trustee, Michael C. Gallego, P&A Foundation Trustee, Elano C. Marcelo, P&A SOASP Project-in-Charge, and Edward D. Roguel, SOASP Adviser.

All parties agree that SOASP has always been consistent with its core values: to recognize excellent accounting students who identify with skills and capabilities. For 25 years, SOASP’s main goal has been to showcase the competence of accounting students from all over the Philippines through a battle of knowledge and wit and has helped many accounting students from far beyond.

P&A Foundation, PICPA, and ACPACI are all in high spirits and hope that SOASP will bring back the love for the profession and enlighten a bright future ahead for remarkable accounting students.

Stay tuned for more updates and guidelines regarding the 25th edition of SOASP.
