P800-K worth of drugs seized in simultaneous operations

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) arrested 60 suspects and seized more than P800,000 worth of illegal drugs in its simultaneous anti-criminality and law enforcement operations from Sept. 21 to 30.

DCPO chief Col. Alberto Lupaz said their 55 operations yielded substantial results, including the seizure of 116.1120 grams of shabu and 135.7400 grams of marijuana, with an estimated street market value of P805,850.40.

“In our unwavering pursuit of justice, DCPO achieved a significant milestone in the campaign against wanted persons by apprehending 112 individuals with outstanding warrants,” he added.

Authorities also launched 31 anti-illegal gambling operations resulting in the arrest of 89 violators and the confiscation of P17,864 in bet money.

Additionally, they arrested three individuals and confiscated two guns in the campaign against loose firearms. Also, police seized 11 firearms on top of one surrendered gun during 38 operations.

“These exceptional achievements are a testament to the unwavering dedication of DCPO and the tireless efforts of each PNP personnel,” Lupaz said.

“Let us continue working together, pushing the boundaries of excellence, to maintain peace and order and create a safer and more secure Davao City,” he added.
