  • Police make significant strides in weeklong anti-criminality operations

 

NINETY-NINE individuals were arrested by the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) following its weeklong anti-criminality operations against drugs, illegal gambling, and loose firearms.

Davao City Police Office (DCPO), under the leadership of Col Richard P. Bad-ang, reported successful operations from May 12 to 18.

For anti-illegal drugs, 31 operations conducted led to the arrest of 40 suspects and the confiscation of illegal drugs with a combined value of P389,953.80.

For illegal gambling, eight operations resulted in the arrest of 16 gamblers and the confiscation of bet money.

Meanwhile, 41 operations led to the arrest of 41 individuals, including 12 most wanted persons.

Seven operations against loose firearms resulted in the arrest of two individuals, the confiscation of two guns, the surrender of one weapon, and the turn-in of four firearms for safekeeping.

“The DCPO prioritizes peace and order for Davao City’s safety,” Bad-ang said. “We will continue operations to hold lawbreakers accountable.”
