AUTHORITIES seized more than P1 million worth of shabu from two city-level targets in a buy-bust operation at Purok Nakada in Barangay Daliao, Toril District at 10:53 p.m. on Monday, March 18.
The suspects were identified as Ian Homer Bariquit, Clyde Retiza, Jan-Jan Abas Delos Reyes, Oliver Bariquit, and Percival Ismael Bariquit, both residents of Doňa Manuela, Barangay Daliao.
Ian Bariquit was considered a top 2 city-level target while Retiza was a top 9 city-level target.
The suspects were arrested after allegedly selling a sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P11,500. In addition, the police seized two more sachets with a total weight of 79.79 grams worth P1,437,220, and other drug paraphernalia during the operation.
The suspects are now in the custody of the Sasa police, and appropriate charges will be filed against them for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
