THE EDUCATIONAL Benefit System Unit (EBSU) Davao announced that applicants may apply online for any of the 600 scholarship slots for the academic year 2025- 2026 beginning April 21.
During a media forum on April 10, Emilio Domingo, EBSU-Davao’s technical adviser, said the total slots include 300 for the Scholarship on Tertiary Education Program (STEP), 100 for the Technical and Vocational Program, 100 for the financial assistance program for Indigenous Peoples (IPs), and 100 for differently abled persons.
He added that they currently have 2,512 scholars and are expecting around 300 graduates this year.
In 2024, they opened 300 slots for scholarships, and the office continues to provide assistance to students after being given an increased budget this year.
Applicants are advised to submit their proof of grades, certificate of residency, certificate of eligibility, good moral and Income tax return of parents or tax exemption from BIR.
Domingo also emphasized that the scholarships are intended for students in private schools focusing on priority courses like teacher’s education, information technology, medical professions, and social sciences.
