MSU-Maguindanao graduate studies extend assistance to Barangqy Ambolodto residents

EIGHTY residents of Barangay Ambolodto, Datu Odin Sinsuat, received aid during the community extension services by Introduction to Public Policy and Local Government Administration Course students under the Master of Public Administration Program of Mindanao State University – Maguindanao Graduate Studies.

The students distributed 12 varieties of medical supplies, along with 190 mahogany and narra seedlings, 160 vegetable seedlings, and 160 bottles of liquid fertilizers, as well as 160 sachets of vegetable seeds.

In the pre-activity assessment, the students identified healthcare and agricultural services as among the primary needs since the residents rely on farming for their daily sustenance.

As a response, they collaborated with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform, and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office to secure the necessary intervention and supplies for residents.

Dr. Bai Hejira Nefertiti Sinsuat Macalandong-Limbona, Chancellor of MSU-Maguindanao, emphasized the importance of student immersion in communities to foster practical understanding and engagement.

The initiative aligns with the university’s vision to enhance its operational mandate, contributing to national integration and addressing significant issues such as food security, poverty alleviation, and rapid economic growth, particularly in Mindanao. The extension program underscores the university’s commitment to community engagement alongside its educational mission. Hasmeyya L. Tiboron/MSU-Mag
