In a significant move to bolster its commitment to providing employment and livelihood opportunities for Filipinos, Monde Nissin Corporation is gearing up to expand its Community Distribution Network (CDN) in 2024.
Monde Nissin’s distributor program reaches household consumers through a network of Independent Brand Experts who distribute Monde Bread and Dutch Mill Delight to their communities. As of December 2023, the program has over 25 dealers with more than 1200 experts stationed in Luzon. At their recent 2024 Kickoff event for dealers and brand experts, Monde Nissin Chief Commercial Officer Samuel Sih shared that expansion plans for this year include expanding beyond Luzon and continuing to add more dealers and experts.
“Our main goal with the Community Distribution Network is to ultimately build a network of entrepreneurs who will serve as the bridge of our different products to the end consumers through their respective members or ‘suki’ base,” said Sih.
“We were able to bounce back to double-digit growth in 2023 with our growing network of brand experts. We’re hopeful that with the planned expansion into Visayas and Mindanao, and extending further from our base in Luzon, we’ll be able to maintain success this year as well,” Sih added.
Started in 2016, the CDN is a flagship project by Monde Nissin for promoting inclusive growth by empowering local entrepreneurs. Through partnerships with dedicated individuals, the company aims to strengthen its roots in Filipino communities, contributing to the overall growth and prosperity of the region. The company has set a north star target of having 5,000 brand experts by 2030.
“The CDN is not just about distribution; it’s about fostering a sense of entrepreneurship and community development. It’s anchored on social entrepreneurship, aimed at uplifting lives while providing livelihood to the partner distributors,” said Sih.
This expansion of the CDN aligns with Monde Nissin’s broader aspiration of improving the wellbeing of people and the planet. The company encourages interested distributors to explore the opportunities within the CDN, emphasizing its role in not just delivering products but also in shaping a sustainable and prosperous future for local entrepreneurs.
