Martinez replaces Delvo as PRO XI chief new

BRIGADIER General Aligre Lamsen Martinez takes over as acting regional director of the Police Regional Office (PRO) XI effective April 26, 2024.

This follows a Philippine National Police (PNP) general order dated April 25, 2024, obtained by TIMES from a source.

The order was released an hour after the retirement ceremony of Brigadier General Alden Delvo, who retired as PRO XI director officially on the same day, Thursday.

Lt General Michael John Dubria, the PNP deputy director for operation, officiated the ceremony around 4 p.m. at Camp Quintin Merecido in Buhangin District.

Before the appointment, Martinez was the deputy regional director for administration in PRO 4A.

When asked by TIMES, Brig Gen Kirby John Kraft, the director of Police Regional Office 13, who was the former Davao City Police Office director, said Martinez was his classmate in the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Sandigan Class 1994.

Kraft said that Martinez used to be assigned for a long time at Davao International Airport in 2019.

On Friday, April 26, an assumption of office ceremony will be conducted around 2:30 p.m. at Camp Quintin Merecido Buhangin district.

Following similar PNP general orders, Brigadier General Ronnie Francis Manuel Cariaga assumes the role of Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, while Colonel Aden Tupas Lagradante is designated as Acting Chief of the PNP Command Center, Directorate for Operations, effective April 26, 2024.

Meanwhile, in a separate interview, Delvo expressed gratitude to the police personnel, other law enforcement, and stakeholders for their support during his stint as PRO 11 director and throughout his 34 years in police service.
