Krizia Taxi enhances coverage and efficiency with Hytera PoC communication solution

HYETERA, a leading global provider of professional communications technologies and solutions, is pleased to announce the successful deployment of a Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) communication system for Krizia Taxi Company, one of the prominent taxi operators in Davao City, Philippines. Leveraging Hytera’s HyTalk PoC platform and rugged PoC radios, the company has made significant improvements in dispatch efficiency, regional coverage, and customer experience.

A Krizia taxi driver uses the Hytera PNC360S PoC radio to communicate with the dispatch team.

Krizia Taxi previously operated on an aging analog radio system that suffered from frequent signal dropouts, high maintenance costs, and lacked essential location tracking capabilities. As the business grew and customer expectations evolved, the company recognized the need for a modern solution that could support real-time location services, reliable voice communication, and simplified fleet management.

Hytera delivered a complete end-to-end PoC solution, including the HyTalk management platform and its PNC360S and PNC380 hand portable PoC devices. The solution leverages existing mobile networks and local Wi-Fi infrastructure, enabling Krizia Taxi to eliminate the cost and complexity of installing and maintaining radio repeaters. The transition to PoC allowed dispatchers to communicate instantly with drivers across the entire Davao Region, monitor fleet activity in real time, and streamline ride allocation. During the implementation, Hytera’s local distributor, VMO Enterprises, provided driver training and offered ongoing support to ensure smooth use of the dispatch system.

“As someone involved in the taxi industry, I can personally attest to the transformative impact that two-way radios have on our operations,” said Ryan Sia, owner of Krizia Taxi Company. “Hytera’s solution has empowered our team with reliable, instant communication and improved safety features, which are vital to both our drivers and passengers.”

The PoC radios come with loud and clear audio optimized for noisy environments, built-in GPS tracking, and emergency alert features. Built to military-grade durability standards, the devices withstand tough field conditions, helping reduce equipment turnover and operational costs.

Since implementing Hytera’s solution in 2023, Krizia Taxi has significantly reduced wait times and seen a marked improvement in dispatcher responsiveness. The enhanced coordination and efficiency have translated directly into improved customer satisfaction and business growth.

By adopting Hytera’s PoC solution, Krizia Taxi has not only overcome the limitations of its previous analog system but also unlocked new levels of operational efficiency and service responsiveness. For service-driven transport providers operating across dynamic and challenging terrains, Hytera’s scalable, cost-effective PoC technology offers a compelling path to digital transformation.
