PAL to launch new flights to Seattle

THE PHILIPPINE Airlines (PAL) announced the launch of flights to Seattle as a new route and destination to meet the growing demand for Philippine passengers traveling to North America.

During the Kapihan forum on Apr. 15, Paolo Rene Diaz De Rivera, PAL sales manager, said the launch of nonstop flights from Manila and Seattle will begin on Oct. 2 and will operate three times a week.

“Currently we have Guam, Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. We have to service this route and I think Seattle is one of the destinations that we’re looking at shortly,” he said.

He added they had already recorded 800 passengers who booked their flights after the announcement. He also said PAL will utilize the Boeing 777-300ER for the Seattle flights.

The route will operate every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, at 10:40 p.m. (PST) from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, and 11:40 p.m. (Seattle local time) from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

He also urged passengers to book early and check their bookings and requirements, particularly for those who will travel internationally.

The new route will also open opportunities for PAL to further promote Philippine island destinations for leisure and business travelers.
